Elena Lowenthal, CPA, JD

Elena Lowenthal is a Fiduciary Accountant at Meyer Handelman Company, where she has served client families since 2017. In her role, Elena prepares and reviews financial accounting and tax returns for trusts and estates, manages gift tax filings, and coordinates with outside advisors to ensure accuracy and compliance across each family’s fiduciary obligations. Her attention to detail and deep understanding of trust and estate tax law make her a valued member of MHCo’s fiduciary team.

Elena brings more than two decades of tax and accounting experience to MHCo. She began her career at Deloitte & Touche, where she prepared and reviewed corporate, partnership, individual, trust, and estate tax returns for a high-net-worth client base. She subsequently spent over a decade as a Tax Analyst at Hascoe Associates, a family investment office in Greenwich, CT, gaining extensive experience in the multi-entity, multi-generational environment that closely mirrors MHCO’s practice. Elena has also held roles at Rothstein Kass & Co. and Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman.

Elena holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, magna cum laude, from Baruch College and a Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
