Scott Handelman is a Managing Partner at Meyer Handelman Company, a multi-generational multi-family office founded in 1933 by his great-grandfather. Since joining the firm in 2010 and becoming a partner in 2019, Scott has played a central role across all facets of the business—overseeing operations, advising client families, and helping guide the firm’s continued growth.
Scott combines strategic leadership with hands-on client advisory work, focusing on investment strategy, long-term planning, and generational continuity. He is particularly passionate about working with next-generation family members, helping them build financial literacy and a strong sense of stewardship.
He began his career at Barnum Financial Group, an office of MetLife Financial Services, where he focused on insurance and retirement planning, trained junior advisors, and earned recognition for performance and leadership.
Scott graduated from Quinnipiac University with a degree in Business Management. He has served on the board of the Stamford JCC and remains active in mentoring and community involvement.
Outside of work, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, traveling—having visited over 30 countries—playing ice hockey and golf, and following New York sports teams.
